I feel like noone even reads these posts. My teeth are in terrible shape I could never afford to keep up with it. My daughter always comes first. I wake up each day hating what I see in the mirror. I have been unemployed now since July and with all the resumes out still find nothing. Its very hard to pretend to be positive. I cant remember the last time I smiled. I really dont know what to do or where to turn I just know this is far too much to keep carrying when you dont see an end in sight. Please help.

I am so tired.Need help for Christmas for two disabled adults.One has has 2 major bowel surgeries due to cancer.My health problems arent as bad as his, but my Family is going through so much turmoil and trouble, Im just miserable!

I'm disabled and I have medicaid from social security. Yet it has been several years that I've gone without dentures as I've been told that they won't pay for them.
I've got about 5 teeth left, mostly on the bottom front. These are the only teeth I have in my mouth and they desperately need ousting as the poisons are damaging to my health.

But I need something to eat with! Without these what chance am I to have at biting anything? My stomach has been having issues since I already can't chew my food fine enough and often consume things mostly in whole bits and bites. Which is rough on digestion which is supposed to start in the mouth.

I really need dentures before I'm not able to even wear them. I don't really know if there's any chance that I can get fitted for an upper set since I've been been wearing the gums down.

If anyone has any ideas let me know. I'm in Augusta, GA area.

Hi, I am a Single Mother of 2 boys (Avery age 7 & Brenden age 11). I have been struggling with disablity since 2000 due to an accident ( a women cut me off on while I was driving a Semi and I had to cut the wheel to avoid from killing her and her 1 year old baby) this  left me with spinal, nerve damage and back problems. I have recently had my 3rd back surgery in December 2008. My husband left me in 2004 for another women and does not pay child support, never has and it seems never will. Although he knows of my conditions. In June 2000 I had to have my right renal kidney removed due to a benign rapidly growing tumor (which my doctor believes happened as a result of the accident) only to find my other kidney is failing and I have Chronic Kidney disease. Right now it is operating at  48% function but it will fail and eventually I will need dialasys. I have never received any Insurance (she had none) nor any settlement of any kind from this accident. I have plenty of Medial bills and am currently on enough pain meds to help make life bareable. We are barely making ends meet on what disablility in America offers. My older son has ADHD, Chronic defiance disorder along with paranoia and depression. Brenden has been in and out of the hospital (14 times) since the age of 8 and even spent 1 year in a Christian Children Home due to his disorders. 1 year later the Childrens home admitted him back into the hospital for being out of control and a threat to the other children and staff. The Childrens home informed me on that day  it would be neccessary for me to pick him up because he was too much to handle and they needed to look out for the other children and staffs welfare.Illinois does not provide the health insurance for Brenden to be long term Inpatient to get the help he so desperately requires. Some days I even have thought of giving up my parental rights to this child so he can get the help he needs. I have been informed that if Brenden was a ward of the State of Illinois he would receive the treatment he needs. But why should I have to go to that extreme when he should be able to get the help he needs without all the drama. I have really been trying hard to make Illinois our home but between my health and my older sons health  I have decided that moving back to my original home state of Connecticut would be better for the both of us. Health coverage and care  is better and more advanced there. Brenden would not be denied the care he needs as we are being denied here. Plus it is the State I was born and raised so we have all of our immediate nad extended family there. I moved to Illinois in 2000 after the accident because I could no longer afford to live there.So what makes me think we can move back when we can't make it here in a less expensive State you are probably asking? Well as I said before we have family there. My father has agreed to let us live with him. I am trying to come up with money to move us there but on disabilty it is hard to save a dime when I am already picking and choosing bills to pay month to month now. I have never asked anyone for anything in my life but I believe that there may be some people out there that can help me out and I can't let pride get in the way anymore. Whether it be a small donation, a decent vehicle to make the trip or a small prayer. All will be greatly appreciated. We are looking to turn our lives around or at least make this one alittle better and we think leaving Illinois and going to Connecticut where there is better health care and family for support will do the trick. Hello, I am a 50 year old Disabled Grandmother.We need help desperately to pay our utilities, and save our home,from foreclosure. I am in desperate need of assistance. My husband and I are a blended family however my 4 children are with us full time. My first husband and father of my children died 4 years ago and left us nothing but a mound of debt. My current husband and I worked very hard to overcome the divorces and his death financially. Just as we finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel I was diagnosed with a large tumor wrapped around my spinal cord two years ago. The surgery was a lot more extensive than expected and the damage it had done was permanant. I've had 14 surgereies since then which has left me disabled and unable to work full time. I had a very successful career and we lived quite comfortably. My company that I worked for ended my employment and benefits without notice or permission. I've struggled to keep our heads above water but with my enormous medical expenses and cost of health insurance has just about killed us. My husband has a really good job, don't get me wrong. But the amount of expenses we have incurred are just far too great for him to handle alone. I finally straightened out my disability which is something else my former employer did not handle correctly. It took my 16 months to get is sorted and paid. But by then we were so far behind it's just a struggle. We are 2 and half months behind on our house payment and if I don't get it paid immediately, we are going to loose our home. We did owner financing as we were in the middle of getting our lives back on track financially. So, this means I don't have the time for them to go through the foreclosure process. Basically they can say get out in less than 30 days. If I could get caught up then we can handle the payments going forward now that I am receiving monthly payments from my LTD insurance. It's just getting caught up that's the problem. My children have been through enough heartache and crisis that I don't want them to loose their home. It's the one stable thing we've had since their dad died. We have an amazing support group of friends around them and I can't take that away from them. If you know of any charity organizations to help us get this caught up. Please let me know.
